Deep Vision is proud to announce its participation in SMM 2024, the world’s leading maritime trade fair, which took place from September 3rd to 6th in Hamburg, Germany.

Deep Vision participated in SMM 2024 as part of the Canadian Delegation in collaboration with OTCNS, ACOA, and with support from the Trade Commissioner Service.

The international MARISSA Days Symposium, which focused on Maritime Safety and Security Applications in 2024, is an initiative led by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. This two-day event aimed to explore and address critical issues in maritime safety and security.

Deep Vision hosted a technical presentation on "Maritime Security: Platforms, Systems, and Engineering", which was followed by an industry expert panel discussion aimed at delving deeply into Maritime Security solutions.

Deep Vision partnered up with D-RisQ and Rosborough Boats to present a technical presentation on Improving Perception Capabilities for Uncrewed Maritime System at the H₂O Conference. Throughout the event, Deep Vision networked and discussed the latest advancements in autonomous maritime technology with industry experts and leaders.

Deep Vision, alongside D-RisQ, were selected by Innovate UK and the Ocean Technology Council of Nova Scotia (OTCNS) to work together in their bi-country challenge focused on Improving Perception Capabilities for Uncrewed Maritime Systems.

Deep Vision's essay Whale Watching: Automating Aerial and Surface Level Cetacean Monitoring for Improved Population Surveys has been published in The Journal of Ocean Technology, Vol. 16, No. 3 entitled Machine Learning and AI Applications in Ocean Monitoring and Management.

Deep Vision, in partnership with Wake Engineering, are pleased to announce a successful bid on a Eureka project entitled An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle for Autonomous Maritime Search and Rescue. 

Deep Vision has been contracted by Merinov to participate in the Habitat Stewardship Project to detect and protect marine mammals in industry environments.  

Dstl, an extension of the UK Ministry of Defence, selected Deep Vision to present for an invitation only event on Passive, Adaptable Situational Awareness for Maritime Autonomy at the Defence Autonomy Research Collaboration (DARC) conference.

The presentation provided valuable insights into the application of autonomous technologies in maritime settings and was very well received by Dstl and other attending experts in the field.

Deep Vision has been selected to participate in Phase 1 of the Defence and Security Accelerator's (DASA) Autonomy in a Challenging Environment project, under the UK Ministry of Defence. This phase of the project is valued at $3.7 million.

Deep Vision's CEO presented Automated Spotting And Monitoring Of Right Whales Using Real-Time Unsupervised Learning at the Unmanned Systems Canada Conference in Ottawa.

Deep Vision receives recognition for their work on the automatic detection of North Atlantic Right Whales (NARW) at a formal announcement, held at COVE in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
